Jatoba is a tree common to the Caribbean, Central and South America. Although Jatoba is sometimes referred to as Brazilian or South American Cherry, it is not a cherry tree. Jatoba is a very hard wood that features a tan/salmon color with black acent stripes that over time turns to a deep rich red color. |

The Ovengkol is a evergreen tree native to tropical west Africa. It grows to heights of 100 to 150 feet with trunk diameters of 24 to 36 inches. Its wood is heavy and dense and can be worked to a very smooth surface. These traits make it an ideal choice for cabinetry, musical instruments and flooring. |

The bark of all birches is characteristically marked with long horizontal lenticels, which often separate into thin papery plates. Birch wood can be easily stained, is a light color when in its unstained form and has subtle graining. |

A beautiful and stately tree that grows tall and even, given some room. It is not unusual for this tree to be as wide as it is tall, and some have been known to live for over 500 years. White Oak takes stain very well and you will see many shades of colors on this wood. |
